Review
Ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourselves for an electrifying ride. I am talking about none other than “Ela Veezha Poonchira” – a movie that has managed to capture hearts and minds with its compelling storytelling, talented cast, and top-notch production. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, all I can say is buckle up, because it’s going to be a wild ride.
The storyline of this movie is nothing short of brilliant. It revolves around the life of a woman named Mariam, whose son gets kidnapped just before he is about to marry his lover, Sara. Mariam then sets out on a quest to find her son and bring him back home safely. Along the way, she meets a lot of interesting people who help her in her mission.
One thing that struck me about “Ela Veezha Poonchira” was its attention to detail when it came to depicting local customs and traditions. The filmmakers did an excellent job of showcasing the beauty of Kottayam’s countryside while also staying true to its roots.
The plot itself is full of twists and turns that will leave you on the edge of your seat. There are moments where you will laugh out loud, and there are moments where you will be shedding tears like a baby. The ending will leave you feeling both moved and satisfied.
Now let’s talk about the cast – they were absolutely phenomenal in their roles! The lead actress, Vinitha Koshy, deserves special praise for her portrayal of Mariam. She did an outstanding job in bringing out the character’s strength, vulnerability as well as resilience.
Sarath Kumar also deserves a mention for his role as Father James. He brought a lot of depth and nuance to his character which made him stand out from the rest.
One quote that particularly stood out for me was when Mariam said: “When someone takes away what we love the most, all that’s left is to fight for it.” This quote perfectly encapsulates the movie’s message about the power of love and determination.
Moving on to the technical side of things, I have to say that “Ela Veezha Poonchira” did not disappoint in any way. The cinematography was beautiful, and the music complemented the mood perfectly. The film editing was also top-notch – it kept the pace of the movie steady while also highlighting its emotional beats.
Now let’s talk about some of the controversies surrounding this film. There were reports that suggested that certain religious groups were unhappy with some of the scenes in “Ela Veezha Poonchira”. However, I would like to say that art should never be censored or curtailed in any way – especially since it has such a powerful message to convey.
Despite these controversies, “Ela Veezha Poonchira” managed to win several awards at various film festivals, including Best Actress for Vinitha Koshy at the Kerala State Film Awards.
Finally, I would like to conclude by saying that “Ela Veezha Poonchira” is a must-watch movie for anyone who values compelling storytelling and excellent filmmaking. It is an experience that will leave you feeling impressed and inspired long after you have left the theater. So what are you waiting for? Go watch it now!
